Learn Tarot Online with Card of the Day from Amanda Goldston on Sunday 3rd May 2009
Today 5 of us drew cards. I drew the 10 of Pentacles, Greg drew the 3 of Swords, Stephanie (older child) drew the 7 of Wands, Dom (Stephanie’s boyfriend) drew the Emperor and Jacqueline (younger child) drew the 6 of Cups. Overall this was quite a nice combination of cards for the day.
I always like to see the promise of money, in the form of the 10 of Pentacles. This is also a card of feeling comfortable and stable in the family environment. We were not quite sure who Greg was going to have an argument with or things which may cause him heartbreak, in the 3 of Swords.
We came to the conclusion that it might be falling out with Dom if he did not do his exam revision, and wielding a big stick over him- or perhaps that was Stephanie with the battling of the 7 of Wands!
Jacqueline had the 6 of Cups which is a card of youthful, playfulness, fun and children. That is telling us to enjoy oursleves and savour the moments of the now, as well as maybe using events of the past as a source of laughter for the now. We certainly have plenty of those incidents in the smile book and the memory banks!
Dom’s was perhaps the most interesting one becuase we don’t usually draw cards for him. The Emperor represents male energy, as well as rules, conventions, traditons and discipline. The Emperor is an authority figure and it is about both outer and inner dsicipline, power and authority.
Greg spent some time helping Dom with his Maths and Physics work, both of which are Greg’s specialties. We had a gorgeous Sunday lunch, which Greg cooked and then he got his baking head on and made one of lightest, fluffiest, most yummy Victoria Sponge cakes I have tasted in a long while.
Have a wonderful day.
