Stuck in the Past

Learn Tarot Online with Amanda Goldston Card of the Day for 30th April 2009.
Today drew the 6 of Cups and I drew the Knight of Pentacles.

6 of Cups

Knight of Pentacles
My first thoughts with these cards was being stuck in the past. The 6 of Cups represents things or people from the past. It can also represent children or the inner child-like self that wants to come to play and to return to a state of fun, bliss and innocence.
The Knight of Pentacles is often someone who likes material things, including the best quality things that he or she can afford. However they can be somewhat fixed in their ideas and very resistant to change.
This very much applies to us at the moment. we have got stuck in a rut of where we are going and what we are doing. Money has been a bit of a challenge for a while, so we have got into the habit of saying “No” to things. We have got into survival mode and putting things off because of not wanting to spend any money.
One of the sad things with that approach is that we have stopped dreaming and wanting to be, do, have or experience things.
We have tried to convince ourselves that by finding as many things to try to do, that don’t cost money, we’ll be fulfilled. To some extent that has worked, however there has been a yearning for more.
Interestingly I have started listening to Bob Proctor’s Science of Getting Rich programme, which is based around the book of the same name by Wallace Wattles, written in 1903.
We have started today to think of our ideal lifestyle and some of the other places we would like to experience with the children. We have decided to make a few changes to our daily routine, which will open up a bit more time in the day and allow us to have even more fun with the children.
Have a great day.
With abundant blessings
Amanda Goldston
